Today, May 19, 2026, Corona Public Schools was placed in a Hold in Place status while local and state law enforcement responded to an issue in the surrounding area. At no time was there any immediate danger to our students, staff, or school campus.
As a precautionary measure, students were safely escorted into the building by staff members upon arrival, and all students, faculty, and staff remained secured inside while law enforcement worked to secure the area. Once officials confirmed that the situation had been resolved, the Hold in Place was lifted and normal school activities resumed.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff will always remain our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and continued support as we work together to maintain a safe school environment.

The school was notified of an incident in the neighborhood this morning all is clear and there is no threat to the community. Thank you and have a great day.
Corona Public Schools would like to invite families and community members to join us as we celebrate the accomplishments and hard work of our elementary students! ❤️🖤

Hello Parents,
Here is the itinerary and important information for this weekend's trip:
Thursday, May 7, 2026
We will depart at 4:30 p.m.
We expect to arrive in Albuquerque and check into the Courtyard by Marriott Albuquerque Airport at approximately
6:20 p.m.After checking in, we will go to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner, which will be paid for by the school.
Meals
Please note that the school will not be providing breakfast, as breakfast is available through the hotel.
The school will provide:
Lunch and dinner on Friday, May 8
Lunch on Saturday, May 9
Dinner on Saturday if needed, depending on our departure time from the meet.
Friday Evening Activity
On Friday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m., we will take the students to Topgolf as a fun team activity. The school will cover both the activity and dinner there, as we have done in previous years.
Return Home
We will return home on Saturday, May 9. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide an exact return time at this point, as it will depend on how Friday's running events conclude.
Once we know our departure time, your child will contact you to let you know we are on the way home.
Behavior Expectations
Students are expected to represent our school in a positive manner at all times. Foul language, inappropriate behavior, or leaving hotel rooms without permission will not be tolerated. If a student fails to follow expectations, parents will be contacted to retrieve their child, and the student may be removed from the competition.
Thank you for your support. I am excited to watch the students compete this weekend and represent our school well.
Sincerely,
Hannah Seely
