MANDATORY ATHLETIC PARENT MEETING: Any student wanting to participate in Athletics in grades 6-12 inr the Fall/Winter for Corona Schools. NMAA requires the athlete and parent to attend a required parent meeting to go over any changes to NMAA policies an regulations. This meeting will be held on Monday, August 12 at 5:00PM in the Auditorium. Meeting should be approximately 45 minutes so please plan on attending. BOARD MEMBER VACANCY: Corona Public Schools is seeking to fill a vacancy Board position based upon the resignation of a Board member. Person must be must be a qualified elector of New Mexico, a resident of the district they represent, and the position will be filled in accordance with New Mexico state statutes.
Any interested individual should submit a resume and cover letter outlining their experiences and why they are qualified and desire to serve on the Board of Education. Applications for the positions should be submitted electronically or mailed prior to the closing date to:

BUS ROUTES: Routes are being finalized and at this time for parents who have students inside the 2 mile limit on State Route 247, including the trailer, we cannot assure that we will be able to transport. State law requires us to bus all students outside the 2 mile radius and if space is available, we can transport inside that radius. If space is available after registration of students is complete, the school will reach out to notify families if this option is available. That will not occur before August 7.

Here is the School Supply List for all Pre-K students. If you have not registered your Pre-K, please come by the school or call us at (575)849-1911.


Sorry for the delay in posting school supply lists. We have received a generous donation from Pattern to help purchase supplies so if there are things that you do not or unable to purchase we will have some of them here at the school. High School Supplies are pretty basic pens, pencils, highlighters, Notebook paper and folders or notebooks. CORONA DAYS ACTIVITES: During Corona Days, Corona Public Schools will have some activities scheduled for touring the schools and any new parents who have students that want to register for the upcoming school year. The school will be open for tours on Friday from 10-12 and 1-3 and on Saturday from 9-12. Also, the school is hosting a Snow Cone Machine with Mr. Clough and Mrs Dunlap helping, so you can ask about registration questions for new students or anything Corona Schools. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

The 5th District Court issues a temporary injunction on the new Calendar Rule so districts will now be allowed to maintain a 4 day school calendar. More information will be forthcoming once school districts are advised on how to proceed to approve the new calendars.
